Tomat-Avocado Salad

Tomato Avocado Salad
The primary ingredients used in the preparation of this salad include tomato and avocado. Along with vitamins-A, K, C; potassium and phosphorous are also present in tomato. This not only purifies blood but also prevents the diseases related to liver and heart. Avocado has the quality of lessening the weight. It helps in digestion process. The flour materials which are needed by the body are gained by the germinating seeds. As all these contain large no of good qualities, if a salad is consumed which is made up of all these materials then body gets large amounts of energy.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of sliced tomatoes
  • 1 avocado which is cut in the middle and made into two pieces.
  • One-fourth cup of germinating seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar

Procedure:

  • Take a small bowl.
  • Mix small pieces of sliced tomato and germinating seeds together in the bowl.
  • Add some salt to taste, black pepper, lime juice and vinegar to the above mixture.
  • Mix them well.
  • Stuff this mixture in the avocado pieces.
  • Now Tomato-avocado salad is ready to serve.

Brown Rice Salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of Brown rice
  • 4 teaspoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons of vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper
  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped carrot
  • 1 apple
  • 1 capsicum
  • 2 teaspoons of finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of peanuts

Procedure:

  • Fry the peanuts in a pan and remove the peel.
  • Cut the cucumber, capsicum and apple into small pieces.
  • Take four cups of water into a bowl and boil it.
  • Add little amount of salt to taste and brown rice to the boiling water.
  • Finally add olive oil, vinegar, black pepper, sliced cucumber, carrot, apple, coriander and peanuts to it.
  • Stir this mixture well.
  • After two minutes, off the stove.
  • If needed we can also add potato, beans, tomato and leafy vegetables.
  • Now hot and tasty brown rice salad is ready to serve

A Healthy Cauliflower Soup

Ingredients to be used are:

  • 2 teaspoons of butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 potato
  • 4 teaspoons of chopped cauliflower
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 slice of cheese

Procedure:

  • Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the finely chopped onions for two minutes.
  • Peel the skin of potato, cut them into large pieces and sauté them with onions for four minutes.
  • Then add the cauliflower.
  • If children like carrot or other vegetables, then they can also be added to it.
  • Add some water to it and boil them.
  • After boiling blend this mixture in the food processor.
  • This mixture is then poured into a sauce pan, little amount of salt is to be added and again cooked.
  • Garnish it with cheese and add some milk to it.
  • While serving add some soup cubes to it to make it more delicious.

This is the soup which will be liked by almost all the children as evening snack. If this is to be given in the morning then serve chilled. It is good if it is prepared the day before the evening and then taken in the morning. Ingredients to be used include,

  • 1 cup of chopped beetroot

  • 1 teaspoon of chopped coriander leaves
  • Half teaspoon of lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Little amount of oil to sauté
  • Mustard seeds
  • Cumin seeds
  • Dry red chilies

  • Take chopped beet root into a clean bowl.
  • Add tomato and coriander to it.
  • Add lime juice, little amount of salt to taste and stir the mixture.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard, cumin seeds and dry red chilies.

Strawberry-Grape Salad

Ingredients:

  • 10 sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup of grapes
  • 1/2 cup of guava
  • 1 tablespoon of black grape juice

For garnishing:

  • 3 teaspoons of cream
  • 4-cherries

Preparation steps:

  • Mix the pieces of sliced strawberries and grapes.
  • Before serving, take all these pieces into a cup and pour one teaspoon of grape juice into each cup.
  • Then garnish it with cream and cherries.
  • There won’t be any problem if cream is laid first and then grape juice is added next.

Hot and Tasty Tomato Soup

Ingredients:

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon coriander leaves
  • 3 cups of water
  • Half teaspoon sugar
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • Garlic
  • Black pepper seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter or ghee
  • Salt to taste
  • Cardamom
  • Bread

Procedure:

  • Keep the tomatoes, carrot, cardamom, black pepper seeds, garlic and onion pieces in the pressure cooker.
  • Add some salt to taste, half teaspoon of sugar and three cups of water to the above tomatoes.
  • Boil them up to three whistles of the pressure cooker.
  • Grind this boiled mixture in the grinder. Now the soup is ready to serve.
  • Heat the butter or ghee in a pan and fry some bread pieces.
  • If these bread pieces are added to the soup before serving, bread pieces will be crispy.
  • For garnishing purpose just add coriander leaves.
