Beetroot Salad
Beet root has got a quality of purifying blood. It contains vitamin-C, potassium, folic acid in large amount. If this juice is consumed daily it prevents growth of cancer cells. Since it doesn’t get digested easily water should be consumed in large amounts. Now let’s see the recipe for making beetroot salad.

Ingredients to be used include,

  • 1 cup of chopped beetroot
  • 2 teaspoon of sliced tomato
  • 1 teaspoon of chopped coriander leaves
  • Half teaspoon of lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • Little amount of oil to sauté
  • Mustard seeds
  • Cumin seeds
  • Dry red chilies

Preparation steps include,

  • Take chopped beet root into a clean bowl.
  • Add tomato and coriander to it.
  • Add lime juice, little amount of salt to taste and stir the mixture.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard, cumin seeds and dry red chilies.
  • When the above mixture gets fried, add this mixture to the beet root mixture.
  • Beetroot salad is ready to eat.

Some people don’t find time to prepare. So, it is better for them to prepare in large amount and can be stored in refrigerator for two to three days. Diabetic patients should not consume it as it leads to increase in diabetes rather than controlling it.
