A Healthy Cauliflower Soup

Ingredients to be used are:

  • 2 teaspoons of butter
  • 1 onion
  • 1 potato
  • 4 teaspoons of chopped cauliflower
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 slice of cheese

Procedure:

  • Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the finely chopped onions for two minutes.
  • Peel the skin of potato, cut them into large pieces and sauté them with onions for four minutes.
  • Then add the cauliflower.
  • If children like carrot or other vegetables, then they can also be added to it.
  • Add some water to it and boil them.
  • After boiling blend this mixture in the food processor.
  • This mixture is then poured into a sauce pan, little amount of salt is to be added and again cooked.
  • Garnish it with cheese and add some milk to it.
  • While serving add some soup cubes to it to make it more delicious.

This is the soup which will be liked by almost all the children as evening snack. If this is to be given in the morning then serve chilled. It is good if it is prepared the day before the evening and then taken in the morning. This food item not only helps in increasing the resistance power to prevent diseases but also lessens the wish of taking junk food in children. Instead of using water to boil vegetables, chicken boiled water or the white substance in egg can also be used.
