A Refreshing Drink-Carrot Juice

The Carrot juice prepared using carrots as primary ingredient is a refreshing and healthy drink. This juice is rich in vitamin A, vitamin E and beta-carotene, a cancer fighting agent. This drink helps to maintain good eye sight and prevents occurring of many forms of cancer. Drinking this juice regularly helps to prevent dryness of the skin and helps to prevent digestion problems. Vitamin A present in this juice is very important for pregnant women as it helps a lot for new developing child.

The ingredients to be used are:

  • 5 carrots
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup crushed ice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger juice
  • 1/4 tablespoon pepper powder
  • 1/4 tablespoon mint powder
  • Mint leaves to garnish

Steps to be followed to prepare carrot juice are as follows:

  • First steam the carrots in a boiler for 5-6 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes, cool it.
  • Chop the carrots and salt and sugar are added to it. Grind them in a mixture to form a smooth paste.
  • Add little water to the paste and again grind it.
  • Take out the juice from it by discarding the residue.
  • Take a glass and place 1 cup of crushed ice into it.
  • Pour the juice into the glass and add ginger juice, pepperand mint powder to it.
  • Garnish with mint leaves.
  • Now serve the tasty carrot juice immediately.
