Beetroot Special Food Recipe

Beetroot is one of the vegetables that help a lot to maintain good health. It is great source of vitamin C, calcium, iron and is the natural blood building vegetable. Beetroot contains zero fat content, few calories and is rich in fiber. Beetroot helps to treat cancer and prevent anemia. Any food prepared using beetroot as an ingredient is a healthy one as it directly or indirectly provides many healthy benefits that help to maintain healthy body. Now let us see one food recipe in which beetroot is used as a primary ingredient. The recipe of Beetroot Rice is as follows.

 Beetroot Special Food RecipeIngredients includes,

  • 2 cups of shredded beetroot
  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 15 cashew nuts
  • 4 red chilies
  • 3 tablespoons of shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil

Preparation steps include the following:

  • Fry mustard seeds, cashew, curry leaves and red chilies in a pan containing the oil.
  • Add shredded beetroot and salt to it and fry for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add some water to the above mixture and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Now add coconut to it and fry again.
  • Add cooked rice to the above mixture and mix well.
  • Cook it for 2 minutes and off the stove.
  • Colorful hot and delicious beetroot rice is now ready to serve.
