Delicious Vegetable Fried Rice

One of the tasty and yummy South Indian food items is the vegetable fried rice. The recipe for cooking this delicious food is as follows.

Ingredients required to prepare vegetable fried rice are:

  • 3 cups rice
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 100 grams finely chopped beans
  • 1 sliced onion
  • 2 finely chopped spring onions
  • 2 green chilies which are to be cut lengthwise
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

Follow the below steps to prepare vegetable fried rice:

  • Firstly soak 3 cups of rice in water for about 15 minutes and drain.
  • Take some water in a bowl. Add rice and salt to it and boil it till rice becomes tender.
  • Cook the rice in such a way that each grain should be separate. Don’t overcook.
  • When the rice is cooked, drain the water. Now again add some cold water to it. Again drain using a sieve and keep aside.
  • Take a pan and add oil to it. Now heat the pan and add chopped vegetables to it.
  • Cook the vegetables till they become crispy.
  • Add salt and pepper to it.
  • Now add the rice which is cooked and mix well.
  • Add soya sauce and mix well. Cook for 3 minutes.
  • Hot and delicious vegetable fried rice is now ready to serve.
