Delicious chana chaat snack item can be prepared easily and quickly within not more than 5 minutes. This snack is not only yummy and delicious but also a nutritional food item. The ingredients needed to prepare the chana chaat include the following.

  • 3 cups chana
  • 1 cup peeled and chopped cucumber
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 1 1/2 cup paneer cubes
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon chaat masala
  • 1 tablespoon coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon tomato sauce

Follow the below procedure to prepare chana chaat snack recipe:

  • Soak the chana in sufficient water for about 1 hour.
  • After an hour, drain the water, place the chana in a bowl and keep aside.
  • Add paneer cubes, chopped cucumber, chopped tomato and chopped onions to the bowl containing the chana and mix well.
  • Add chaat masala to the above mixture and mix well.
  • Now add tomato sauce to it and mix well.
  • Garnish the above mix with coriander leaves.
  • Serve the delicious chana chaat by adding the lemon juice to it if you desire.

Chana chaat is highly nutritious food as it is rich in fiber that benefits a lot in reducing and maintaining the cholesterol levels in the body. This food is best for the diabetic patients as the chana used to prepare this food item contains low glycemic index and consuming this food helps in controlling the glucose levels in the diabetic patients.
